The 5th International Conference on Evolving Cities and Towns (ICEC 2025) will be taking place on the 16-18 July 2025 at the University of Southampton, Southampton, UK.

ICEC 2025 will bring together global experts to discuss accelerating cities and towns transition to net-zero carbon and the important issues related to cities and towns and their evolution, be it through infrastructure, energy, AI, carbon, comfort or wellbeing. Cities consume around 75% of our energy and emit around 60% of carbon emissions, hence impacting the environment and society.
For ICEC 2025, the programme will include a number of themed sessions including Coastal Cities & Towns, Kenya as a case study and Heat Deferral & Energy Flexibility to be organised around three ‘meta’-themes that cut across ICEC’s established eight conference topics. The ICEC 2025 conference will only require an abstract to be submitted prior to the conference which will be peer reviewed by the Scientific Panel.
